My goal is to create work that is aesthetically pleasing with graceful forms and rich colors. The power of color is very meaningful to me. I previously was a painter before becoming a jewelry artist. The ancient art form of Cloisonné enamel is the perfect medium for a jeweler, like me, who loves color. It provides me with the interplay, complexity, and subtlety of an unlimited palette. I have taken the medium of Cloisonné that dates to the 6th century B.C., and I have updated it with my contemporary designs, patterns, and shapes. I combine my cloisonné enamels with precious metals and faceted or cabochon stones. I see the enamels, metals, and stones working together to create a finished work that is balanced and pleasing to the eye. As an artist, I strive to express as much beauty and individuality in each piece as possible.
